By providing free immigration legal services to Minors in Immigration Court, we are able to obtain work permits for most of our clients. Work permits are not just a requirement to be able to lawfully work in the United States, work permits provide an opportunity for our clients to dream, and dream big because they know they are on a path to citizenship. Our clients have traveled by themselves to seek safety in South Dakota. With Limited English Proficiency, our clients have persevered and graduated from High School this year.
Meet four of our graduates below!

"Once I get my work permit, I will work for a year and then go to college or military."
"I want to work for about one year then go to college. This summer I want to work in Real Estate."
"It has not been easy but not impossible either and this is a small triumph from the many that this wonderful country offers me. I am very grateful for Taneeza and the SDVFP team, for their unconditional support to the community in need in general, and to my family in Guatemala, and to my other family and friends here in the U.S. for their advice and support. I will always remember my mother's words and I will not disappoint her- “¡SI SE PUEDE!" (You can do this!)"
"Thanks to God and my moms effort now that I have graduated high school, I plan to take some time to decide what I want to continue my education in."
