Multilingual news platform: Provide accurate, multilingual local news and immigration updates for people in South Dakota using audio and video formats.
Sanctuary movement: Identify possible sanctuary areas, such as houses of worship, schools, and hospitals. Develop and implement strategies to create safe spaces for immigrants and refugees, and develop strategies if these places are no longer protected from ICE searches and seizures.
Know your rights campaign: Inform impacted community members, neighbors, businesses, employers and school districts on what their rights are in multiple different languages.
Immigrant family preparedness planning: Identify what is needed if a family member is deported and share this information with impacted communities in multiple languages.
Community organizing: Identify how we can organize communities to show up during the legislative session to testify and to stand in allyship with impacted communities.
Visual storytelling: Take pictures to show the impact that mass deportation would have on our communities, as well as illustrate the positive impact immigrants have.
