What is the Affordable Connectivity Program?The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) was created by Congress and implemented by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to help eligible households receive a discount of up to $30 a month, or up to $75 a month on Tribal Lands, towards internet service. ACP will help families and households struggling to afford internet service. This new benefit will connect eligible households to jobs, critical healthcare services, virtual classrooms, and so much more.
What are the benefits of the ACP?If your household is eligible, you can receive:
Only one monthly service discount and one device discount is allowed per household. To receive the connected device discount, consumers need to enroll in the ACP with a participating provider that offers connected devices. |
Who is eligible to participate in the ACP?
You may be qualified for the program if:
- You, your child or dependent participate in certain government assistance programs, such as SNAP, Medicaid, WIC, or other programs.
- You’re a member of select Tribal Assistance programs and live on qualifying tribal lands. Click here to learn more.

- You received a Federal Pell Grant in the current award year.
- You have a child or dependent who participates in free and reduced lunch or breakfast program at school.

How do I know who my provider is?
Various broadband providers, including those offering landline and wireless broadband, are participating in the Affordable Connectivity Program. Find participating Service Providers in the Affordable Connectivity Program in South Dakota .

How do I enroll in the ACP?
- Step 1: Visit https://bit.ly/SiouxFalls-GetACP to check if you are eligible for ACP.
- Step 2: Go to the Affordable Connectivity Program website to submit an application or print out a mail-in application.
- Step 3: Contact your preferred participating provider to select an eligible plan and have the discount applied to your bill.
